Break the Silence and Dial for Life are offering free 911 cell phones to victims of abuse. All phones are free, and can only dial 911.
When you receive your emergency phone:
- Keep it hid from your abuser. In couch cusions, drawers, closets, purses, or any place where your abuser dosen't look.
- Keep it charged! Your emergency cell phone is just like any other cell phone, it needs power.
- Make sure you know how to use your phone. Rehearse, with out actually calling 911.
Phones come with battery, charger, instructions for use, and a 911 phone. Car chargers are available upon request.
